Dama Heef helps people in The Gambia discover food and place orders with real kitchens. To make that work we keep four things: a random device ID (so your saved cravings persist before you sign in), the account data your OAuth provider gives us, the orders you place, and the reviews you leave. We do not sell any of it.

Before you sign in, we store a random ID in your browser so your saved dishes and chat history survive page reloads. It is not tied to your name or any external identity. If you sign in later, we move those saved items onto your account and drop the device link.

When you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive only three fields from your provider:

• Display name
• Email address
• Profile photo URL

We never receive your password, your social graph, or your inbox. We do not edit or delete your provider account — that lives with the provider, not us.

For every order you place we keep the order contents, the restaurant, the fulfillment method (delivery or pickup), the phone number you provided for confirmation, and — for delivery orders — the delivery address. The restaurant sees the same information so they can prepare and deliver your food.

We currently do not process card payments. Orders are settled in cash on delivery or pickup, directly between you and the kitchen.

Reviews you leave are public. They appear under your OAuth display name on the restaurant page. The order that produced the review stays linked to your account but is not shown publicly.

• Your real-time location (unless you tap "near me" once)
• Contacts, calendar, microphone, or camera (except when you submit a menu photo)
• Anything from the OAuth provider beyond name, email, photo
• Card numbers — there is no card processor wired up

Your order details are shared with the restaurant fulfilling that order. Aggregated analytics (counts, not identities) are shared with restaurant owners on their own kitchens. We do not share anything with advertisers, brokers, or third parties beyond the restaurant for your order.

We set a session cookie (signed in users only), a referral cookie (90 days, if someone shared a link with you), and the device ID cookie. No third-party tracking cookies.

You can sign out at any time from your profile. You can ask us to delete your account and orders by emailing [email protected] — we respond within seven calendar days.

Dama Heef is not directed at children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has used Dama Heef, contact us and we will remove their account.

If we materially change this notice, the "last updated" stamp at the top of the page changes and signed-in users see a one-time notice on their next visit.
